| Electrical Design Engineer - Peterborough / Solihull
ROLE (Responsibilities & Activities) We require an Electrical Engineer to carry out the design as required by a client, which meets theirs and the company requirements. Keeping to time and budget constraints of the project and taking into account the environmental impacts of the design.
The key areas of accountability of the role include business objectives, leadership and customer interfaces:
o Carry out design calculations utilising both manual and computer techniques
o Continue to learn about new technology
o Communicate design onto a drawing, single line for CAD by self or others
o Co-ordinate other building services within a building, changing drawings accordingly
o Follow set QA procedures
o Liaison with other design department members to understand client's requirements and select plant and equipment appropriately
Other Duties
Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
(Essential, Desirable) Education Levels
Qualified to HNC/HND through completion of a craft or technical apprenticeship, or degree level in Building Services. An associate or graduate member of CIBSE, IEE or other appropriate professional institution. I Eng registered desirable
Specific technical knowledge/skills
o UK construction and in particular the building services industry
o Proven and sound experience within the construction industry with some design experience from conception to completion of a contract
o Understanding of design interface and site installation processes
o Knowledge of computer aided design packages
o Knowledge of codes of practice, British Standards and CDM regulations
o Awareness of environmental issues
o Knowledge of design time and cost parameters
Salary for the electrical design engineer will be up to £27k plus company benefits
