| Job Title: Associate Director / Senior Project Manager - Energy |

| This person will lead the task of growing the high voltage electricity (400kV downwards) Energy business within the UK-MEA, both onshore and offshore, as well as being part of the leadership for developing all aspects of the Energy business within the company. The person will be based in London but must also work very closely with Campus and to a lesser extent with the rest of the offices in UK-MEA.
The person will be based in the London office but must be mobile, especially given the need to work very closely with the Campus and to a lesser extent with the rest of the offices in UK-MEA.
Role
The three key parts of the persons role will be:
1. to grow existing client relationships, and create new client relationships, in the HV electricity sector (including transmission and distribution)
2. obtain a detailed understanding of the clients business through the client relationship and as a result develop service propositions and win work from the client
3. to lead and manage the successful delivery of the commissions for these existing and new clients, drawing on the capabilities within the relevant practices and groups throughout the company
We would expect this person to be demonstrate very quickly their:
· strong and effective management of client relations
· excellent work winning capabilities
· successful delivery of commissions, and
· overall high calibre,
such that they could be recommended for promotion to Director after 1 or 2 years.
Requirements
· Professional qualification in a construction industry related discipline
· Post-graduate technical experience in high voltage transmission and distribution
· Experience of delivering complex projects, including acting in a client-side role. Value of projects should be at least £100M construction cost. Ideally a mix of project experience in both new build and renewals.
· Experience of scoping, procuring and administering building construction contracts
· Strong focus on the added value that the companys services can bring to a clients business
· Self motivated and self-starter
· Pro-active and collaborative worker
· Very good communicator (verbal, written and listening)
· Good Client Facing skills
· Able to forge strong, open and trusting client relationships in a short period of time
· Able to influence and shape the clients thinking to create business opportunities for the company
· Able to identify and respond to opportunities for new service offerings
· Bring a programme/project team together to meet defined project objectives, when they have no contractual leverage
· Able to influence and focus a team of different parties that have no contractual link to align with the programme/project objectives
· Able to resolve conflicts
· Able to identify stakeholders, determine requirements and expectations and manage their influence on the project
· Maintains excellent relations with clients, keeping them regularly appraised of the progress of their projects.
· Able to report progress at Programme/Project Board meetings and answer questions accordingly· Strong commercial acumen, both project costs and costs of the company's commission
