| Job Title: Noise & Vibration Specialist |
| Description |
| My clinet is seeking a Noise & Vibration Specialist to join a small team capable of delivering specialised solutions to their client’s needs. The work is primarily geared toward a range of challenging civil engineering environmental noise & vibration considerations.
Further requirements will include but are not exclusive to:
- On-site noise and vibration monitoring; data analysis and reporting duties
- Calculation/prediction/assessment of road, railway and air traffic noise
- Calculation/prediction/assessment and mitigation of noise and vibration from construction, manufacturing, process plant and machinery
- Liaison with clients, ensuring strong relations and longer term business development.
- Project specific noise measurement surveys
- Preparation and presentation of reports
- Acoustic design; architectural, building services and environmental demanding strong knowledge of current standards and procedures
- Liaison with clients and providing project feedback as required
- Calculation/prediction of ground borne noise and vibration.
Candidate Specification The successful candidate will have an appropriate degree or equivalent with strong experience in the field of environmental noise assessment, preferably connected with transportation.
- It is ideal if any applicant has a basic education/training in acoustics/noise/vibration.
- Ideally have a working knowledge of the UK procedures for the prediction and assessment of road and railway noise
- Have a working knowledge of UK planning procedures with respect to noise and vibration
- Be computer literate, with some digital noise and vibration modelling experience
- An ability to interpret and work with maps, plans etc
- Capable of working independently or with minimum supervision depending on project requirements
- Ideally, a candidate should have a commercial awareness and be open to opportunities for further developing new business
