| Materials Engineer:
Material performance is the key factor underlying all engineered products and processes. To engineer a solution, the need is to thoroughly understand the critical material properties for a specific environment.
- Identify client priorities and ensure client requirements are met;
- React speedily to changes in client requirements; questions client requirements; proactively keep client informed.
- Projects will encompass studies, planning design and construction.
- Where problems arise, take an active role in resolution
- Readily mobilise the specialist support and expertise of the company's group for swift solution. delivery
- Responsible for reviewing design submissions, co-ordinating with a checking team, co-ordinating all drawings and records and administering document management systems.
- Deliver commercial success with strong financial awareness
- Deliver innovative and proven solutions to programme and budget.
The ideal candidate will come from a design and construction background within the Transportation sector. Ideally any candidate should have exposure to Material Selection, Corrosion Engineering, Failure Analysis, Non-Metallic Materials, Forensic Engineering and/or Field Services.
Any candidate successful will likely to have the following attributes:
- Engineering degree qualified (or equivalent) ideally with further professional engineering qualifications.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design and/or construction of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience in microstructure design and control and properties,
- Exposure to performance and engineering of materials and surfaces
- It would be advantageous to have good knowledge of IT and project management techniques.
- Able to communicate effectively and have good people skills.
- Capability to work under their own initiative and good problem solving skills. |
